Annapolis, Maryland Coordinates

Wrapped around the water, Annapolis is at the very heart of the Chesapeake. It has excellent bars and restaurants along with great shopping. The city is also steeped in history and home to the Naval Academy and St. John’s College. Of course, Annapolis also happens to be the capital of Maryland. And while Newport may have laid claim to the yachting capital of the United States, Annapolis is surely the sailing mecca of the country.

With Back, Spa, College, and Weems Creeks and the proud Severn River encircling it, Annapolis is riven with water. And, as any local or regular visitor knows, when the tide is high, Annapolis is often under that water too. City Dock and Ego Alley are the most well-known points of access, but nearly every street of the city ends in brackish wetness. And that all is a huge part of Nap Town’s charm.

Whether you like the live music and crab tots of Ram’s Head, the painkillers and Ego of Pusser’s, the local vibe of Davis’s Pub, or any of the other great Annapolis bars, you know that the city is a drinking town with a sailing problem. And that is not a bad thing at all. With great steak houses like Lewnes and Ruth’s Chris, awesome seafood at Carroll’s Creek and the Chart House, and so many other fabulous restaurants, Annapolis is a foodie town too.

Whether watching Wednesday night races from a mooring in the front forty, touring the State House and seeing where George Washington resigned his Revolutionary War commission, or shopping to you drop is your thing, Annapolis, as you already well know, is the place for you. So pick up one of these great Annapolis coordinates t-shirts so that you can always find your way back, whether after a foggy sail on the Chesapeake, too much dirt dwelling, or a few too many drinks during the boat shows.
